What is HSA?

The Health Sciences Authority (HSA) is Singapore’s national regulatory body responsible for overseeing health products, including medical devices and software that may be classified as Software as a Medical Device (SaMD). Any digital system that supports clinical decision-making, diagnosis or patient-related healthcare workflows can fall under HSA regulation. These products must go through a structured assessment process before they can be legally used or marketed in Singapore’s healthcare system.
